This Vins de France (Wines of France) map is part of IGN's French tourist series. These use their general road map as a base and then overlay information detailing different themes that are of interest to tourists.

The map highlights the wine growing areas throughout France, all annotated with names and lists of individual appellations (a geographically-based name for a wine growing region that is believed to show unique characteristics of soil and climate etc.). Many of the less famous regions are also shown.

The map legend includes English, as does the information given about the different varieties of red and white grapes used in French wines.

The base map features IGN's super clear road layout with major motorways down to minor roads and roads under construction marked out. It also shows adminstrative boundaries and various colouring to show forests and urban areas. National park boundaries are also marked.
