This Seafarer's Book is intended as a personal record of part time and full time service in a form acceptable to the various agencies responsible for issuing marine certificates, and also as a history for the seafarer. Details of the requirements for specific certificates and examinations must be obtained directly from issuing administrations.

In addition to sea service, the requirements for certificates may include ancillary courses and qualifications, and personal medical reports. Details of these too can be kept here.

The wallet which accompanies this logbook is intended to be used to hold copies of birth certificates and qualifications, photographs and other details of vessels.

The Seafarer's Book can be your private nautical diary to supplement photographs and letters describing your experiences afloat. The two end pages are an index where you can record your special entries.
