The maps in the local series are at an adequate scale for the tourist visitor to Italy. The mapping is very clear with a good use of colour and although minor roads are small they can be read without too much difficulty. Scenic routes are highlighted in green and road distances are shown but mainly between large places.

Michelin have introduced a 3D effect to the relief in conjunction with Planet Observer of satellite image fame. All the usual information that you would expect to see is included in the key such as water and country parks, golf courses, palazzos and places of general interest and is in both Italian and English.

On the reverse of the map you will find city or town plans, which are very clear and give you just enough information to guide you round, as well as a comprehensive index which should make finding your destination that much easier. There is also a driving times and distance chart.
