This handy, roughly A4 size map book covers from the Kimberley region in Western Australia, east to Darwin and Katerhine in the Top End in the Northern Territory. The front of the book has an overall map with the map page references shown which is useful for route planning. There a few town plans of the bigger places along the way as well as a map highlighting the popular Gibb River Road.

The road detail of QPA maps is excellent, showing from major highways all the way down to unsealed roads, old tracks and 4WD only routes. Useful and interesting places are shown in abundance including various attractions, fuel stops, accomodation, campsites, rest stops and fishing spots.

Elevation tinting shows the topography. Also included are average monthly temperature and rainfall charts for many areas. The maps are surrounded with illustrations of native flora and fauna.

An index of localities is included as well as various distance charts showing the distances between major towns in kilometres. There's also a facilities chart for many of the campsites throughout the region. Intermediate road distances are also shown on nearly every road.
