List V is published annually, as per the Radio Regulations this publication shall be provided to all ship stations for which a Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) installation is required by international agreement.

List V incorporates a searchable database of over nine hundred thousand ships. It contains details of Maritime Mobile Service Identities for search and rescue aircraft, coast stations, and groups of ship stations. It also provides contact information for accounting authorities and notifying administrations.

The 2024 edition is available for purchase. Vessels should begin to have this edition onboard by July 2024. 

• The official ITU publication CD should be available onboard for ship inspection purposes
