Do you love Western Australia's beautiful wild flowers but don't know anything about them? Are you travelling around Western Australia to see the wildflowers, but don't know what they're called? If so, then this is the book for you!

This book is the fourth in a series of guides to Western Australian wildflowers which groups the flowers by colour rather than by family or genus. Wildflowers of the same colour are grouped together, and each plant is described in very simple, clear, non-technical terms. This book is designed for those with no knowledge of botany, tourists and locals alike, but who have a curiosity and love of beautiful wildflowers.

This conveniently sized field guide contains vivid colour photographs of more than 220 of the most common (and not so common) spring wildflowers which grow in the woodland and heath between Perth, Albany, Cape Arid and Hyden. There are two maps showing the towns named in the book. Flora roads, where good wildflower displays can be found right along the roadside, are marked on the maps.

Other books in this series show wildflowers from Kalbarri and the Goldfields, Perth and the Southwest, and from Esperance and the Wheatbelt. Together, they form a colour guide to more than 900 spring wildflowers from the southwest of Western Australia.

The photographs were taken by Dr. Eddy Wajon, an amateur botanist and photographer. Calendars of Australian Orchids full of his photographs have been published and sold Australiawide. He has also contributed wildflower, landscape and tourist photographs to other calendars. He is an environmental chemist by training, and consults in the area of environmental management.
