From IGN's Decouverte du Monde (Discover the World) series, this Burkina Faso map at 1:1 000 000 features excellent detail. Highways, principal roads and many minor roads are clearly marked out with intermediate road distances shown on most of them. Places of interest or significance are indicated on the map including railways, airports, petrol stations, natioanl parks and more.

Topography is shown with relief shading and colouring indicates vegetation. Administrative boundaries and scenic routes are also marked out. The legend is only in French, but most of the items are reasonably self explanatory.

The map includes a couple of small insets showing Bobo-Dioulasso and Ouagadougou. These insets show various places of interest including post offices, hospitals and restaurants.

Heir to a long line of cartographers, IGN has been involved in all cartography-related operations in France and its territories since 1940.
